Shadow Transport Minister, Graham Simpson was interviewed by BBC News Scotland yesterday about the latest ferries fiasco. He shared his concern for islanders who are the ones suffering through all this, "it's ridiculous that at this late stage extra staircases are having to be installed, and doors widened, to satisfy safety regulations. These design requirements should have been ironed out years ago". These delays leave islanders with even more uncertainty as to when they'll have a reliable ferry network.
