A parliamentary committee has today rejected the SNP’s vaccine passport regulations because they were pushed through without any proper scrutiny.
The Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee voted on the basis that there was ample time to allow MSPs to look at regulations in detail before they came into affect.
Instead the SNP chose to ram these through before any committee had the chance to look at them.
When I put this to the First Minister today she defiantly refused to pull back, do the right thing and remove the regulations.
It is an affront to parliament.
Had she allowed proper scrutiny they might have avoided the shambles that is now before us.
Their we-know-best attitude stinks and it has to stop.
