Yesterday, Graham Simpson MSP visited Baron's Haugh nature reserve in Motherwell with RSPB Scotland.
Graham Simpson MSP said: "Baron's Haugh in Motherwell is one of my favourite local places to visit so I was grateful to RSPB Scotland for showing me around.
"I was fascinated to learn more about the work they have been doing using the nature restoration fund to manage the flood risk from the Clyde. This is the only place I have seen a kingfisher and it was great to spot one again from one of the hides.
"The team is up for a Nature Scot award and I hope they win."
