Last week, Graham Simpson MSP visited Cumbernauld Airport for a flight in the Network Rail helicopter. The helicopter has a high-tech camera which is used to scan the railway across Scotland and look for any faults on the lines.
Graham Simpson MSP said: "I was able to see the camera in action as we flew from Cumbernauld Airport across to Glasgow and out to East Kilbride.
"It's an amazing bit of kit and it actually saves a lot of man hours, particularly when there are problems. Thank you to Network Rail for having me and and for all their work to make sure the railway is safe for their passengers and freight customers."
