Shadow Transport Minister, Graham Simpson said: "I took the opportunity to raise the plight of Glasgow's taxi drivers with the Transport Minister during a debate in The Scottish Parliament yesterday.
"Glasgow City Council are due to introduce a Low Emission Zone in the city from the 1st June which could force over 1,000 taxi drivers off the road.
"Glasgow Cab Section and cabbies across the city aren't asking for money or additional support, they just want more time to prepare. The LEZ can be paused and should be paused for the benefit of the city".
