I was delighted to take in part in a debate on sustainable fashion and highlight the impressive work Lanarkshire-based ACS Clothing are doing to encourage sustainability.
With the fashion industry producing 10% of global carbon emissions and 98% of brands not paying their workers a liveable wage, both the UK and Scottish Government must do more to encourage operators like ACS.
It is positive to see that many young people are latching on to the message that we shouldn’t have such a throw away culture but significant market change is still essential.
