I was delighted to speak at the launch of The Lanarkshire Police Chronicles with its author George Barnsley last night.
Myself and George, who is Chairman of the Lanarkshire Police Historical Society, have been fighting for a new award for officers killed in the line of duty.
We held a debate in The Scottish Parliament earlier in the year, which was supported by MSPs across the chamber, and I remain in dialogue with the UK government on its introduction.
