The SNP Government has found a missing ferry document, which shows Derek Mackay had a call with John Swinney before signing off on the disastrous contract for two ferries that still haven’t been built.
Yet this uncovered email still fails to answer the most crucial question. Why did the SNP Government award this contract to Ferguson, when it was explicitly advised not to?
A public inquiry into this Ferries Fiasco should be set up as soon as possible. The Scottish public deserve to know why these ferries are so over-budget and so late.
