Despite an overwhelmingly negative response from the public, the SNP and Greens today forced through their car park tax.
The SNP’s refusal to put a cap on what councils can charge means businesses have no idea what this is going to cost them and whether they will be able to absorb the costs or be forced to pass them on to hard-pressed employees already grappling with a cost-of-living crisis.
To make matters worse no modelling work has been undertaken by the Scottish Government.
