The Scottish Conservatives have chosen Graham Simpson as their candidate for East Kilbride in the 2021 Scottish Parliamentary election.
Mr. Simpson, a former journalist, is seeking his second term in office, having been first elected in 2016.
Graham Simpson said:
“It's an immense honour to be chosen to stand in East Kilbride again.
"We have lived here for more than 20 years, I was a councillor in the town for 10 years and I have been a regional MSP - covering East Kilbride and elsewhere - since 2016.
"Representing people and helping them is what I love best.
"I am looking forward to what will be a very different type of campaign to the usual.
"The SNP is failing on so many fronts and Scotland deserves a government that looks after public services properly.
"The people of East Kilbride will have the chance next May to elect someone who will put public service ahead of constitutional obsession and I hope to be that person.
