Yesterday, Graham Simpson MSP, the Shadow Transport Minister, visited the Arnold Clark Innovation Centre in Glasgow. Arnold Clark have over 200 car dealerships across the UK and two Innovation Centres, one in Glasgow and one in Stafford. These offer information about new car technology and alternative fuels, seeking to improve understanding around electric vehicles and to tackle range anxiety. Arnold Clark are also creating their own charging infrastructure around the UK, with a network of 150kw chargers at charging hubs.
Graham Simpson MSP said: "It was great to try out a couple of the cars at Arnold Clark. I don't have an electric car but this visit has whetted the appetite. Technology is moving quickly and it can be hard for people to keep up with developments. That's why it's great that the enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff at the Arnold Clark Innovation Centre are there to help people learn more about electric vehicles."
