Yesterday, Graham Simpson MSP visited the Seagull Trust at Ratho to hear about the fantastic work that they do and enjoy a cruise along the canal. The charity has nine boats across four bases, including Kirkintilloch, Falkirk and Inverness. Their volunteers provide canal cruises for anyone with special needs and elderly people, offering fully accessible boats.
Graham Simpson MSP said: "It was a very relaxing cruise along the canal and everyone who gets the chance to go out with the Seagull Trust gets something from it. The Trust is entirely run by volunteers, they have no paid staff and they're always looking for extra help. They do great work, it's a really fantastic charity."
