Yesterday, Graham Simpson MSP visited HCL Handicabs, a registered charity that has been providing bus services for people with mobility issues since 1982. He met with Chief Executive, Kelvin Cochrane and Chair Kenneth Brown to hear more about the services they offer to their 17,000 registered users across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Mr Simpson even had a go at driving one of the Handicabs Dial-A-Ride buses.
Graham Simpson MSP said: "Community transport groups like HCL Handicabs do great work throughout the country. I enjoyed meeting them yesterday. Like many groups they have funding issues. We need to give organisations like this all the help we can."
