MSP attends East Kilbride Primary School’s lesson on the Scottish Parliament
Central Scotland MSP Graham Simpson was invited to give a talk to Maxwellton Primary School P6 class, who are currently studying the Scottish Parliament.
Mr Simpson spoke about the electoral system in Scotland and what his job as an MSP entails. The class had prepared questions to ask Mr Simpson and a question and answer session followed Mr Simpson’s talk.
Mr Simpson said “I was very impressed with the research the pupils had done into both parliament and myself. I was asked some very perceptive questions. I hope the pupils of Mexwellton Primary School P6 class have taken something positive away about the Scottish Parliament and the work of public servants.”
The P6 class will be visiting parliament in March.
