I am pleased to say that I have been ranked second on my party's regional list for Central Scotland in May's Scottish Parliament election.
I very much hope that I will be re-elected and that I am joined by more than one colleague in the region.
It is sad that I am losing two much-valued colleagues in Margaret Mitchell and Alison Harris.
Alison and I became MSPs at the same time in 2016. I hope we keep in touch.
I found as a councillor that the more experience you get the better you become - so long as you learn from it of course.
Should I be re-elected then I will be passing on the benefit of my five years experience in the parliament to others.
The key thing for people to remember when they go the polls in May is to use both your votes for the Scottish Conservatives.
I will keep you posted throughout the campaign.
